Ladies Tea

Our ladies have been blessed and enriched through the Bible Study - A Vision Of His Glory. They met weekly to share and study together God's Word after working daily on the study. To celebrate the completion of the study a special tea was held in the fellowship hall.

The tables were beautifully decorated:

Tables were laden with wonderful food, light and tasty, perfect for a tea!

There was wonderful fellowship together...

There was also a time to share what God has been doing...

Special thanks goes to Bonita and Celia and each of those who helped them to prepare the food and create a beautiful atmosphere for our ladies.

Hop On Board the Boomerang Express

Prepare to trek through the Land Down Under and discover how it all comes back to Jesus when you:

  • follow Him
  • worship Him
  • confess Him
  • serve Him
  • obey Him

In this one week adventure you will learn about having a relationship with Jesus through Bible lessons, crafts, music and games.

VBS begins Sunday July 5 and goes through Thursday July 9. Each night will begin with a dinner at 5:45 pm and VBS will go from 6:15 - 9:00 PM.

You can register children in Sunday School class or at the July 4th celebration Saturday. Invite your friends, family and neighbors!

This Week...

There is a lot going on this week with great anticipation for next week when we begin Vacation Bible School!

Wednesday will be the regular service with ministries for children and youth and prayer meeting for the adults.

Saturday will be the 4th of July celebration and we are looking forward to a great time. Activities will begin at 4:00 with games and fun. Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM and a special drawing will be held at 7:00 PM.
Church family is encouraged to bring a food dish to compliment hamburgers and hot dogs from the grill. Please also plan to bring a cake to contribute to the adults or children's cake walk.

Some prayer requests to share begin with praises as a few of our ladies were involved in a car accident and were not seriously injured. Please pray for them as they recover from soreness.
Rex and Dianne M. are battling illness and need our prayers for recovery.
Our pastor has recently suffered with a bout of shingles. Please pray for his recovery.

Also keep in prayer our summer activities, July 4th celebration, vacation bible school, mission trip and youth camp. May each of these draw others to the Lord.

Quote of the Day

Be courteous to all, but intimate with few;
and let those be well-tried before you give them your confidence.

Six Ways To Know If You Are Wise

Wisdom is a lifestyle. People are not automatically wise. Smart people are not always wise, education does not equal wisdom. Knowledge we learn, wisdom is a gift.
Wisdom is not what we say, it is what we do.
James 3:13-18

Evidence of wisdom can be reflected in some key areas:

1. We won't comprimise our integrity.

2. We won't antagonize another's anger.

3. We won't minimize other's feelings, we will be considerate of others.

4. We won't criticize decisions or suggestions of others. Be willing listen to others, to be open and reasonable and open to suggestions.

5. We won't emphasize other's mistakes.

6. We won't disguise our own weaknesses.

If we fall short in wisdom - "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:5

Thoughts On Grace

Grace is not a concept or a doctrine or an event. It is a continual reality to be experienced and shared. It should be a way of life.
Grace recognizes the full ugliness of sin, yet it offers undeserved pardon and blessing. Grace is not a one-time gift from God. Because Christians continue to struggle with sin until the day they see Jesus face to face, we need God's grace every day of our lives.

  • Grace is a gift of kindness to someone who does not deserve it.
  • Grace is not reciprocal. It goes one way.
  • Grace is costly. Someone has to pay the price for grace.
  • Grace seeks to help people reach their potential. Grace does not condemn those who have not yet arrived.
  • Grace focuses on solutions, not problems.
  • Grace leads to action.
  • Grace is the lubricant that ease friction in any relationship.
  • Grace expects the best but offers freedom to fail.
  • Grace celebrates success and does not keep score of wrongs.

Funny For the Day

Gettin Ready For Camp...

For several children and adults in our church, this weekend will be spent getting ready for Camp Sonrise! Many are very excited to spend a week enjoying friends, swimming, fun and to learn about God. Your prayers are appreciated for a safe and fun week, but most importantly that each child will be drawn closer to the Lord and many seeds from His Word will be planted.

Here are a few scenes from Camp 2007!
