Ladies Fellowship

Our ladies met recently for their monthly fellowship.  There was much food, fun, fellowship and joy shared.  The lesson was about essential oils which are extremely popular right now. They learned about uses for the oils and paralleled that to the Christian walk.  It is always a blessing to gather together at these meetings!

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is just around the corner!  The dates are June 12-16 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and all children are invited.

Please plan to bring your children and also invite some friends for a time of fun, crafts, songs as we put God's Word into hearts.

There are plenty of opportunities for you to volunteer at VBS.  Please see Georgette R. if you would like to help.

Now is the perfect time and way to best prepare for a successful VBS - please begin to pray daily for this ministry to be an outreach for Christ. Please pray for the teachers and workers as they will daily be sharing the love of Christ. May many be touched through this week.

Healing Grace

This week during Sunday's message, we took a look at God's Healing Grace and how He heals the hidden wounds of our life.  .

The Bible says in Psalm 147:3 "God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

We looked at God's view of us.  God always tells the truth.

Here are five things that God says about you that are true because of His grace.

1.  I AM ACCEPTABLE.
Jesus tells us that this issue is settled when we accept His grace
No, it's unconditional because it's based on God's grace not your performance.

2.  God says I AM VALUABLE.
valuable because of His grace.God said, "You are valuable enough that I will give My own Son to die for you." That's how valuable you are.  If you want to know your value, look at the cross.

3.  The Bible tells us because of God's healing grace I AM LOVABLE.
There are two characteristics that make God's love different from human love.

            1.  God's love is consistent.  It's never going to end
    2.  God's love in unconditional.  It's not based on performance.  It's not based on you measuring up.

4.  The Bible says because of His grace I AM FORGIVABLE.
The good news is, when I receive Christ into my life, all my sins are wiped out -- including the ones for the rest of my life.  And that's grace.

5.  God says with Christ in my life I AM CAPABLE.
From the Amplified Bible:  "Philippians 4:13 "I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me.  I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses inner strength into me, that is, I am self sufficient in Christ's sufficiency."

Every day review what God says about you.  Study after study has shown that your self esteem, your self worth, tends to be defined by what you think the most important person in your life thinks about you.  To a large degree the way you see yourself and the way you feel about yourself is determined by what you think the most important person in your life thinks about you.  If that's true, I want to suggest that you make Jesus Christ the most important person in your life.  He says you are acceptable and valuable and lovable and forgivable and capable.  The bottom line is, who are you going to believe?  Somebody else or what God says.

Recently a need was brought up to our men's ministry. A church family member would be coming home following a long rehabilitation stay and the home needed a ramp to assist with mobility.

Thank you men, for quickly and efficiently meeting this need and showing God's love through your actions. We are so thankful for you!

How Do You Get God's Sustaining rGrace

Sunday's sermon was on the amazing and sustaining grace of God.  We heard 4 things to do
to get the kind of grace to keep going in spite of temptations, trials, tension, tiredness, and troubles.

1.  Cry out for God’s help. As long as you pretend to be self-sufficient, you short-circuit God’s power in your life. “[God] gives grace to the humble. So give yourselves completely to God …. Come near to God, and God will come near to you” (James 4:6b-8a NCV).

2.  Fill your mind with God’s Word. Let it comfort you, strengthen you, fill you, and give you the energy you need to keep going. David prayed, “I lie in the dust; revive me by your word” (Psalm 119:25 NLT).

3.  Accept support from God’s people. The Bible says that “by helping each other with your troubles, you truly obey the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2 NCV). God puts weaknesses in our lives so we realize how much we need each other. He never meant for you to go through life on your own.

4.  Hold on to God’s promises. There are more than 7,000 of them in the Bible waiting to be claimed. Here’s one of them: “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youth grow tired and weary … but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:29-31 NIV). Keep your eyes focused on the hope of Heaven, not just on the here and now.

Ladies Fellowship

Our ladies met for their monthly fellowship recently. As always, there was an abundance of food, fellowship and fun.

This meeting was intentional to add ministry and outreach also. Our ladies made up 'blessing bags' which is a way to share essentials with those in need along with a gospel tract to share true hope. Each bag was created and prayed for that those receiving it would recognize the love of God from it. The ladies took a bag with them and some have already been passed out.

Thank you ladies for your heart for ministry.

Ladies Fellowship

Our ladies met for their monthly fellowship last week.  In addition to the wonderful fellowship, food and devotion from God's Word, they decided to jump into some outside ministry.

The ladies gathered and prepared 'blessing bags' for the needy. It is often difficult to distinguish between those truly in need or impostors playing on emotions for gain. There are people we encounter who appear to have needs and although we cannot meet every need, one thing we can do is to share the love of God. These bags were filled with essentials that anyone can use along with a gospel tract.  These bags are to keep close by and share when a need or opportunity comes to light.
