VBS Worker's Meeting and Dinner

All VBS workers are encouraged to come out Friday night for dinner and a meeting to finalize plans for VBS which begins Monday.  Dinner will begin at 6:00 PM and meeting will follow.

VBS Donations Needed

There is a list of things we need donated/loaned to us for VBS...for recreation, if you have any of these, please let Georgette know.

2 kiddie pools

10 large balls (soccer or kick balls)

lots of empty show boxes, cardboard kind

1 hoola hoop

shoe boxes not show boxes LOL

1 "large/huge" Fancy Pillow (for a royal family)

2 Liter bottles

1 play chalice

lots of toy flags

2 -4 cones (for markers outside)

2 stick horses

5th Sunday Night Sing

Sunday June 30 will be a 5th Sunday Night Sing and Testimony Time.  Sing will begin at 6:00 PM and all are welcome to share a song, talent or testimony.  See Sam or Kathy C. if you would like to participate. 

A time of refreshments will follow the sing.  Please bring a finger food or dessert to share.

VBS Donations Needed

We're looking for some items for Vacation Bible School games.  If you have any empty 1 or 2 liter soda bottles or cardboard shoe boxes, we can use them.  We are also in need of borrowing 10 soccer/kick ball size balls.  Thanks!

Children's Camp This Week!!

This week our children and adult counselors will be away at Camp Sonrise.  Please be in prayer through the week for this time that the Lord would draw many to Him, that lives would be changed and transformed.

Observance of the Lord's Supper

This Sunday night we will be observing the Lord's Supper.  This will be done in the evening service which should make for a special and sacred time.  Be encouraged to come back Sunday night as we 'do this in remembrance of Him".

Looking For Donations

This is a late notice,but next week is Children's Camp.  We are looking for donations of snacks and/or water/drinks to keep in our girls and boys cabins.  The camp provides meals, but often our campers need a bottle of water or a snack when they are in the cabin...these kids can eat!!!

If you would like to help, please bring your food/drink to church Sunday.  Some suggestions are:
small bottles of water

capri sun

little debbie snacks

cookies

crackers etc.

Outreach Monday Night!!

Church outreach will be Monday night from 7:00 - 8:00 PM.  All are welcome to join in reaching our community for Christ.  Several different ministry areas are available - praying, making phone calls, writing out cards and going out to visit.  Which area works best for you?  There is something for everyone to do as we allow God to fill us and use us to reach others.

Baptism

Sunday morning 3 of our young people were baptized. What a blessing to see the Lord work in the lives of these young people!  Here are a few photos from Sunday morning.

Mission Trip

As you know, our association wide mission trip will be July 19-26.  Here is an email sent from the Director of Missions regarding the trip.

 

The Suwannee Baptist Association’s Mission Trip to Kentucky desperately needs 8 more participants to be able to continue with the trip at this time.  We are asking if you know of any adults or any possible teenagers that may want to fill those spaces.  Please let us know as soon as possible.  There will be a meeting at the Associational office tomorrow night, June 4^th at 7p.m.  We would love for you to come and find out more about the upcoming trip and sign on to go.  It would be a blessing to have you.

If you are interested in being a part of the mission team, please make plans to attend the meeting.

 

Family Meal

Family Meal will be this Wednesday beginning at 6:00 PM.  Bring a covered dish and let's enjoy some great fellowship together around the table.  Ministries for all ages will follow the meal:

Outreach

A new outreach program will begin this week!  Each Monday  night from 7:00 - 8:00 PM at the church we will be reaching out to others in our church and community.

 

Volunteers are needed in a variety of ways.  Some can come and spend time in prayer, some can make phone calls to absent members, cards can be wrote and some can go out together to visit.  Every part works together for the purpose of reaching others.  Let's show that we care and reach out in the name of the Lord.
