Prayer Request
What a wonderful day yesterday (Sunday) was! The children's program turned out beautifully. The children did a fantastic job singing and playing parts which brought out the true meaning of Christmas. Each child was a joy to behold as the beauty of Christmas was shown through their songs, smiles and words. It was evident that the many hours of practice and work paid off beautifully! Thank you to each child, parent and to the leaders and helpers, your time and effort was reflected through a beautiful program and tribute to our Lord Jesus.
Oh, there will be lots of pictures coming soon!
The Christmas lunch was as always an abundance of delicious food and warm fellowship. Thank you to those who handled the serving of the lunch, your service is so appreciated.
Blogging will be slow this week, but there are a few requests we would like to share:
Bessie P's grandson Brian was involved in a 4 wheeler accident. He suffered severe injuries to his wrist. Surgery was performed on the wrist and he is at home recovering.
Morris and Ann D.'s baby granddaughter we have been praying for received some good news. The baby has a cyst and it was originally thought the cyst was connected to her brain. A recent scan revealed that it is not connected to her brain. She still must undergo surgery in the next few weeks, so please pray for the surgery to go well.
Also, Morris and Ann's son and wife will be having a baby today (Monday). Please pray for a smooth delivery and a healthy baby!

Jesus
JESUS
JESUS humbled Himself.
He went from commanding ANGELS
To sleeping in the STRAW;
From holding STARS
To clutching Mary's finger.
The PALM that held the UNIVERSE
Took the Nail of a soldier.
Why?
Because that's what LOVE does.

Christmas Baskets and Sunday Update
Please remember the three Christmas baskets placed in the church to receive donations for three families who need some assistance this Christmas season. There is a checklist for food items for each family along with information about the children in the family. You are welcome to donate food, clothes or toys and your giving will be appreciated. Please have your donations in by Sunday night if possible. The boxes will be delivered Monday or Tuesday.
We are so excited about Sunday morning as our children will be presenting their Christmas program! They have been working for months on this presentation. Following the play, we will enjoy a church-wide Christmas lunch together. The church will be providing the meat, you are asked to bring a food dish - salad, vegetable or dessert to share.
Sunday evening we will enjoy a special Christmas service. There will not be a mid week service during Christmas week, so this will be a time to celebrate and worship the Lord together. We will enjoy a time of singing and hear a Christmas devotion.

Quick Facts About Lottie Moon
Who was Lottie Moon?
Lottie Moon - the namesake of the international missions offering - has become something of a legend to us. But in her time Lottie was anything but an untouchable hero. In fact, she was like today's missionaries. She was a hard-working, deep-loving Southern Baptist who labored tirelessly so her people group could know Jesus.
Why was the offering named for this early China missionary? Throughout her career, Lottie Moon wrote numerous letters home, urging Southern Baptists to greater missions involvement and support. One of those letters triggered Southern Baptists' first Christmas offering for international missions - enough to send three new missionaries to China.
