Keeping America Great

I Timothy 2:1-4:  Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,  for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,  who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

The Founding Fathers sought God's Word and laid the country's foundation on Christian and Biblical principles.  How can we today keep those principles alive?

1.  Pray For America:
The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  May we be diligent and purposeful in prayer for our nation.

2.  Live Righteous Lives:
Lives that are reverent to the things of God, striving for godliness and to be pleasing to God.  May we live according to the standards in God's Word.  "Righteous exalts a nation", but sin has disgraced our nation.  As Christians we must purpose to live our lives righteously.
3.  Share Christ:
Change will come one heart at a time.  If we will not be the Christian witness, who will?  If God lives in us, He should show through our lives clearly to a lost and dying world.  They should see a distinct difference between our lives and the lives of those in the world.  May He shine through us.
