Surprise Birthday Lunch this Sunday...

It was announced in church Wednesday night, the family of Felton R, will host a covered dish lunch to honor Bro. Felton immediately following the morning service this Sunday.

This will be a wonderful time to celebrate his birthday and enjoy some great fellowship.  Just bring a covered food dish to share and plan to stay and enjoy lunch.  

SSHH!! Remember, it's a surprise!

A Few Things Not To Say To a Pastor...

 “Is what you said true, or was that just preacher talk?”

.“I heard (famous preacher) preach that same sermon on television. He did it so much better.”

 “Could you come to my home and preach that sermon to my husband?”

 “You ought to hear the pastor at our church. He’s been to seminary.”

 “Someone—I’m not saying who—told me to tell you …”

“The game starts at 11:30 today, Preacher. Hint, hint.”

“The previous pastor had a great sermon on that text. I used to love his stories.”

“Now, don’t take this personally, Pastor …”

“So, what does your wife do in the church?”

“Well, all I know is if I were the pastor, I would …”

“Would you tell the music director to sing some of the hymns I like?”

“It’s not me personally, but some are complaining about …”

Wednesday Night Meal

The meal for this Wednesday will be prepared for you and will begin at 5:30 PM.  The menu will be chicken pot pie or chicken tenders, green beans, salad and dessert.  

We're winding summer down and getting excited about back to school routines and some exciting things coming up in Wednesday night Family Ministries!!  Be encouraged to be an active part!  Ministries for each of the family groups begin at 6:30 PM.

5th Sunday Night Sing

On Sunday night, August 30, there will be a 5th Sunday Night Sing and Testimony Time.  Be encouraged to be in prayer for God to use you to be a blessing to others through a talent, a song, a testimony or simply sharing your favorite Scripture. 

Following the sing will be our annual boiled peanut and homemade ice cream fellowship.  Peanuts will be provided and you are asked to bring a crock of homemade ice cream or toppings to share.  This is one of our favorite fellowships!  Mark the date and plan to be a part!

This Wednesday is Family Meal...

Don't forget, this Wednesday is the first Wednesday of the month which is Family Meal.  This is the one Wednesday where we all bring a covered food dish to share and enjoy a meal together.  The remaining Wednesdays, a meal is already prepared and ready for you at 5:30 PM for a small donation to cover food costs.  

Meal begins at 5:30 PM followed by ministries for the entire family.  

Ladies Bible Study....Coming Soon

We will soon begin a new ladies Bible Study.... based on the best selling books by Stormie O'Martian...The Power of a Praying Parent and The Power of Praying for Your Adult Children. The study will begin August 19 and will be on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM during Family Ministries Hour. All ladies are welcome and encouraged to take part!
