All He Needs Is a Piece of Clay

Our sermon this week was a beautiful reminder of God's new beginnings.  He is the potter and can mold, remold and remake us as we yield to His powerful touch.

Many of us need a new beginning, God is the God of second chances and God is the God of new beginnings.
God is in the transformation business. He sees in our clay the potential to be a vessel of honour. God doesn’t need gold, silver, and a superstar. He simply says give Me your clay.

God says:
“I’ll bring treasures out of trash,
 I’ll bring Jewels out of junk;
I’ll bring glory out of garbage,
I’ll bring riches out of rubbish;
I’ll bring diamonds out of debris;
I’ll bring righteousness out of rift raft;
I’ll bring worship out of waste;
I’ll bring majesty out of mess;
I’ll bring deliverance to the drug addict;
 I’ll bring praise out of a prostitute;
I’ll bring hallelujah out of a homosexual.”

God won’t give up on you. God won’t toss you out on the scrap heap. God won’t dismiss you as a lost cause and discard you as hopeless. God takes the clay we yield to Him and starts all over again rebuilding life after life, time after time. God is willing to start over again shaping you into another vessel as it seems best to Him. The only prerequisite is that you give Him your clay, that you give Him your life.

Ladies Christmas Fellowship

Our ladies enjoyed a wonderful time at the Christmas fellowship. Much laughter, food, fellowship and devotion was shared as 31 women came together. What a blessing these meetings have been for our ladies.

Ladies Bible Study Beginning This Week!!

Front Cover

A new Ladies Bible Study will begin on Wednesday January 4.  "Discovering the Treasures of a Godly Woman" will be the study.  We will be doing an introduction to the study this Wednesday with the opportunity to purchase books (they will be $8.00).

Here is a description of the study..."For many women, the Proverbs 31 woman is too perfect. But in reality, she is an ordinary woman who made herself available to an extraordinary God--and became a tremendous blessing to everyone around her. "Discovering the Treasures of a Godly Woman" reveals how women can let God work through them by... discerning the true priorities in life cultivating character qualities valued by family and friends pursuing excellence in all they do It "is" possible for a woman to make the treasures of the Proverbs 31 woman real in her life--and become the woman God designed her to be!"

All ladies are welcome to participate.  We will be meeting on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM with the possibility of a morning class if there is enough interest.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!  If you have been in any of this week's services, our pastor encouraged us to do a few things in celebration of leaving 2016 behind and embracing 2017 with eagerness and hope.

Remembering 2016.  Write down one blessing, one answered prayer and one regret from the year.

Embracing 2017.  Be encouraged to write down 3 things you would like to strive for in the following areas:
Spiritual
Physical
Any other area

It is our prayer that 2017 will find us a a church, in our families, jobs, communities and world a shining light for Jesus.

Welcome, 2017

I Am the New Year

I am the new year. I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.

I am your next chance at the art of living. I am your opportunity to practice what you have learned about life during the last twelve months.

All that you sought and didn’t find is hidden in me, waiting for you to search it but with more determination.

All the good that you tried for and didn’t achieve is mine to grant when you have fewer conflicting desires.

All that you dreamed but didn’t dare to do, all that you hoped but did not will, all the faith that you claimed but did not have—these slumber lightly, waiting to be awakened by the touch of a strong purpose.

I am your opportunity to renew your allegiance to Him who said, "Behold, I make all things new."
